Art Gallery

Thank you for taking the time to look at my art.

I'm 67 years old the proud mother of 3 grown children; 1 boy and 2 girls. They have given me;
7 grandchildren; 5 girls and 2 boys; 2 great grandchildren; 1 girl and 1 boy.

In my early 20's I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. I spent the following 27 years on medication to control seizures.
I was unable to process any kind of connection between my brain & my fingers to create any kind of art.
My main priority was to care for my husband & children.

Finally in 1997 the seizures stopped and I was able to stop taking medication. In 2003 I was asked by
 a friend to do a sculpture of a female angel HEAD & HANDS for the
Providence Festival of Trees here in Medford.

On January 31, 2005 I drew a pencil sketch of
JESUS, which was the beginning of a new journey
and was a complete inspiration to start creating art.

My first real attempt at painting was to paint on rocks. I figured if I painted on
ROCKS
and didn't like it I could always throw the rock away or paint over it.
I began to get requests for rock paintings and each one was a new challenge.
I'm now painting on canvas, I'm enjoying my senior years painting and loving it.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my work.

Thanks again and come back often. I update each time I do a new painting.

I can only paint in my spare time. My husband was injured in a near fatal auto accident
in 2009 and he needs constant care, which I willingly do. He's my greatest fan. He calls me;
"JOANGELO"; it's so endearing. He had severe injury to his brain, it has altered his life,
but he is recovering more everyday. The doctors gave him no hope.
PRAISE THE LORD!!
